Couples often find that after the engagement “honeymoon” period, when the time comes to crack on with the planning phase, they’re just not sure where to begin. Seeking professional help at this stage is a great idea to help you determine what kind of wedding you’re looking for and of course, where to start.
If you were to enquire about a wedding planning service with me, we would start by meeting and talking about your dreams for your wedding. We’ll establish the type of wedding that you’re looking for and the style of wedding that you want to create. We’ll consider themes and venues as well as start thinking about the number of guests that you’re intending to invite.
We’ll talk about the various stages that you’ll move through during your wedding planning journey, which will help you to understand where you’re looking for assistance throughout the process and what level of support, you’re likely to need. Whether that’s full planning support, helping you every step of the way, partial-planning where you have more involvement & require only a little guidance or on the day coordination.
And perhaps most importantly, we’ll establish if we’re the right fit for one another! Am I the right wedding planner for you? Can we work together over the next year (or more!) to create your dream? We have the potential to be spending quite a bit of time together, so it’s important that we’re on the same page and we get along! It’s also beneficial for us to meet at this stage where ever possible to make sure that we hit it off and have a good foundation to build a relationship of honesty & trust to move forward with.
Following our initial meeting, I’ll share a proposal with you to help you understand how I can be involved, what’s included and your contribution for my support. This can of course be tweaked and adjusted, to perfectly fit what you require. Once we agree on the proposal, you’ll be sent a contact to sign and a deposit will be taken to secure your chosen service.
After the paperwork is out of the way, the real planning can begin! We’ll drill down into the finer details, defining your wedding style, theme & colour scheme, and I’ll create a mood board of your wedding style to ensure we’re on the right track to create your wedding exactly as you want it to be. We’ll establish your likes, dislikes & priorities for your wedding. You’ll each be given a questionnaire to complete to establish your individual wants for the day and ensure that your expectations for the day are achieved.
Based on your feedback, I’ll propose appropriate venues and suppliers, putting together several options of the very best, local suppliers for each of your needs, for you to choose from. We’ll work through a carefully planned and proven process to cover every aspect of your wedding and ensure no detail is overlooked and nothing is forgotten along the way. Each supplier will be hand selected by me and personally chosen by you- reliving your stress of searching for the perfect suppliers, whilst maintaining control of every decision about your wedding. We’ll have regular meetings and discussions throughout the planning process to define every detail of your wedding- creating your day exactly as you want it!
Around 1-2 months before your wedding we will have identified all of your suppliers, created the schedule for your day and ensured that everyone is onboard and knows everything they need to know about your wedding day… meaning you can relax and enjoy the time leading up to your wedding, knowing that everything is taken care of.
I can also be there on the day of your wedding to ensure that everything runs smoothly and according to plan. Having someone who has taken every step of your planning journey with you and who knows & understands the decisions & the details just as well as you do, means that you can relax, knowing that your wedding is in safe hands… and should anything come up on the day, you can be sure that everything will be taken care of by someone that knows your wedding inside out!
Your job is then to relax and savour every moment, enjoying your wedding day, created just as you want it!
